Book Trailer: Hollow City by Ransom Riggs

Yesterday, Entertainment Weekly exclusively revealed the trailer for the highly anticipated sequel to the New York Times Bestselling Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Hollow City. Now we are excited to share it with you in case you missed it!

The trailer is short and includes only one “peculiar” child, yet it still holds up with the creep factor of the series.

Hollow City releases on Jan 14, 2014, and thankfully there will be a third book in this series because I can almost bet there will be a big cliffhanger at the end. We can expect book three in Spring 2015.

FIRST LOOK: VICIOUS by V. E. Schwab Book Trailer

vicious fullVicious is easily one of my personal favorite books I’ve read this year. With its dark and haunting storyline, it makes you decide where the line is truly drawn between good and evil. V.E. Schwab jumps onto the adult sci-fi scene with a bang and you’ll be truly amiss if you skip this book.

A masterful, twisted tale of ambition, jealousy, betrayal, and superpowers, set in a near-future world.

Victor and Eli started out as college roommates—brilliant, arrogant, lonely boys who recognized the same sharpness and ambition in each other. In their senior year, a shared research interest in adrenaline, near-death experiences, and seemingly supernatural events reveals an intriguing possibility: that under the right conditions, someone could develop extraordinary abilities. But when their thesis moves from the academic to the experimental, things go horribly wrong.

Ten years later, Victor breaks out of prison, determined to catch up to his old friend (now foe), aided by a young girl whose reserved nature obscures a stunning ability. Meanwhile, Eli is on a mission to eradicate every other super-powered person that he can find—aside from his sidekick, an enigmatic woman with an unbreakable will.

Armed with terrible power on both sides, driven by the memory of betrayal and loss, the archnemeses have set a course for revenge—but who will be left alive at the end?

Today, we have an exclusive reveal for the book trailer for VICIOUS and we are so thrilled to be sharing it with everyone!

Vicious will be available in stores everywhere on September 24th.

Book Trailer: The Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holly Black

I am a huge fan of Holly Black. It’s a known fact. Well, at least if it wasn’t known before, it is now. Her stories are fantastic and so well-crafted that I find myself falling into each world she creates very easily. Now her next big book is one that I am openly in love with.

While The Coldest Girl in Coldtown doesn’t hit shelves until September 3, the book trailer was just released online. Check it out for yourself:

Here’s the official synopsis:

“Tana lives in a world where walled cities called Coldtowns exist. In them, quarantined monsters and humans mingle in a decadently bloody mix of predator and prey—a constant party free for the price of blood and broadcast to the world 24-hours a day. The only problem is, once you pass through Coldtown’s gates, you can never leave. One morning, after a perfectly ordinary party, Tana wakes up surrounded by corpses. The only other survivors of this massacre are her exasperatingly endearing ex-boyfriend, infected and on the edge, and a mysterious boy burdened with a terrible secret. Shaken and determined, Tana enters a race against the clock to save the three of them the only way she knows how: by going straight to the wicked, opulent heart of Coldtown itself.”

Holy freaking moley! Yes, I just said that. I cannot wait to dive into this world and learn more about the Coldtowns. It sounds epic. And that trailer?! Just from a technical standpoint of being mostly one shot tracking through the house is mind-blowing. Whoever did it has my respect. Good job.

Thanks to EW for sharing this!
