Mini Review: Beautiful Bitch and Beautiful Bombshell by Christina Lauren

Today I bring you a twofer. As you might be aware, I’ve read and reviewed Beautiful Bastard and Beautiful Stranger for Novel Thoughts and since then two novellas have come out. Hard to have a solo review for both, so here are mini reviews of both in one slamming post. (Pun slightly intended)

Beautiful Bitch (#1.5):

Picking up where Beautiful Bastard left off, Chloe Mills and Bennett Ryan continue their steamy, combative relationship.

Just when Chloe’s career starts to take off, Bennett wishes it would all slow down long enough to spend a wild night alone with his girlfriend. But after he refuses to take no for an answer, Chloe and Bennett find themselves with two plane tickets, one French Villa, and a surprising conversation that, predictably, leaves them wrestling under the covers.

Oh, Bennett and Chloe, will I ever get enough of you? Probably not. And if you like Bennett and Chloe, you’re going to like this novella. All Bennett and Chloe want is a vacation. A little alone time where there’s no business or calls or meetings, sounds simple, right? Hah! Nothing is simple for these two.

This novella starts more or less where Bastard ends off and goes more in depth about the reconciliation and more importantly, how they turned their sporadic angry sex to an actual relationship and all the hitches and bumps along the way. Like meeting ornery parents. But also the good feels like where they are headed. No spoils, but ahh!

Beautiful Bombshell (#2.5):

The gentlemen from Beautiful Bastard, Beautiful Stranger, and Beautiful Player are out for a wild night on The Strip.

When Max, Henry, and Will steal Bennett away for a weekend of shenanigans and strippers in Vegas, the first stop of the night doesn’t go at all as planned. With their scheme for a Guys Weekend completely derailed anyway, Max and Bennett begin to play a wild game of stealth and secrecy in order to have their bombshells all over Sin City.

I picked this skinny little book up one night innocently thinking, ‘oh, I’ll just read a chapter or two before bed. Have a little fun with Bennett and Max before bed’ (no pun intended, pervs) a bit later when the sun was up, I finished. Oops. Though Bennett and Max would be proud.

This book had me giggling into my pillow way, way more than I ever anticipated from a romance book. The novella is basically this: Bennett and Max traipsing all over Vegas in search of booty. More specifically, their fiancee and girlfriend’s booties. Dumping, ditching and lying about it as they wuss out of a guy’s weekend/ bachelor party all with the tact and grace of two very horny sixteen year old boys. Freaking fan-tas-tic. I was so amused by these antics that the book finished and actually stared at the last page going, ‘No! Not right! Be more of you!’

All I can say is I am SO ready for Beautiful Player. Bring on Will.
