Nat Wolff, who is most recently known for his role in Stuck in Love, has been cast to play Isaac in the adaptation of John Green's The Fault in Our Stars.
For those of you who have been following the pre-production of this movie for the last six months or more, you know that, aside from the production team, the only characters that have been cast are Hazel (Shailene Woodley) and Gus (Ansel Elgort). So this is the first casting to be done outside of the two lead roles.
The Fault in Our Stars will be directed by Josh Boone, who also wrote and directed Stuck in Love starring Nat Wolff. Just knowing Josh and Nat have worked together makes me feel good about this casting decision. It's one that's been on my radar the past few months and only after seeing Stuck in Love did I really see that he would be perfect for Isaac.
If you have yet to see Stuck in Love and it is playing in a theater near you, I highly recommend you go see it. It is one of the most heartwarming and feelings-filled movies I've seen and I loved it.
After an excited John Green announced the casting news on Twitter, vlogger and awesome individual Kayley Hyde summarized the film perfectly:
@realjohngreen This movie is basically what would happen if Divergent, The Spectacular Now & Stuck in Love had a really hot baby.

@kayleyhyde that summarizes the situation perfectly.

Well said, Kayley. That is one movie I can really put all my feelings and excitement behind.
Even Nat confirmed that he would be playing Isaac and had nothing but good things to say about the book and John Green.
I will play Isaac in the fault in our stars. Very excited to be working from such a great book by @realjohngreen
