Review: Where She Went by Gayle Forman

It's been three years since the devastating accident ... three years since Mia walked out of Adam's life forever.

Now living on opposite coasts, Mia is Julliard's rising star and Adam is LA tabloid fodder, thanks to his new rock star status and celebrity girlfriend. When Adam gets stuck in New York by himself, chance brings the couple together again, for one last night. As they explore the city that has become Mia's home, Adam and Mia revisit the past and open their hearts to the future - and each other.

Told from Adam's point of view in the spare, lyrical prose that defined If I Stay, Where She Went explores the devastation of grief, the promise of new hope, and the flame of rekindled romance.
I just want to start this off by saying that Gayle Forman is a writing queen! She takes me from heart break to happy times and more. If you guys though that If I Stay was beautiful, wait until you read this! Honestly wasn't sure what to expect when going into it since I loved the first book so much, and once I finished, I honestly didn't know what to say.

Told from Adam's POV, Where She Went takes you an a journey three years after the accident that change both his and Mia's life forever. Both are now successful musicians living across the country from each other. But by sheer happenstance, they happen to be in NYC on the same night, both getting ready to start long tours. This story is about that night and how it, yet again, changed their lives.

I found it truly amazing that Gayle went from such a vulnerable POV in Mia to Adam's defiant yet understanding POV so easily! Getting a chance to look inside of Adam's head for once was such an experience. We found out how much Mia's accident affected himself as well as the success of his band, Shooting Star, while Mia takes him on a trek through NYC that will make him question everything he thought was so sure in his life.

Gayle's second book just blew me away and in the end left me speechless. Her character development of Adam was perfect and I'm sure the girls will love a look inside the mind of a guy for a bit. I easily devoured this book in a day (two sittings) and I know you will too! If you've not read If I Stay yet, please go buy it or get it somehow! I promise you will love it, well, after you wipe those tears from your eyes. So get ready for a wild emotional roller coaster. Cause you're about to hop on one of the best!

You're right...I think it will be nice to read from a guy's perspective since it doesn't happen very often.
