Love Sucks Blog Tour: Day 3 with Lauren Hammond

Lauren Hammond is the author of the just released novel, Love Sucks. She knew from a young age that she was born to be a writer. After publishing her first novel in 2007, she then went on to write several screenplays and a few award winning poems.
She aspires to be a positive role model for young people who have a pencil, a piece of paper, and a dream. Never give up on your dreams, you might wake up one day and regret not pursuing them.
She has two more novels in the works, as well as some film projects.

Here's what she has to say:

Life. Death. Immortality. If you were given a choice between dying and living forever, what would your choice be?

When I began writing Love Sucks, I didn't want it to be just another vampire book. I wanted my readers to close their eyes, imagine Cara Jones, and put themselves in her shoes.  I wanted them to ask themselves, what would I do
if I woke up in the ground not knowing who, or what I had become.

What's special about this book is that it takes you on the journey of a lifetime, and that journey begins is the early seventeen hundreds. Why a period piece, you ask? Because in any novel, it's important to show how the main
character came to be. Nothing in anyone's life is ever easy and the same goes for Cara Jones. If she didn't have obstacles to overcome then you wouldn't see her character evolve.

Due to the positive attention Love Sucks has been receiving, I'm excited to announce that a sequel is in the works. A Sucker For Love will be out in the summer of 2011.

I only have one thing left to say, are you ready to be sucked in?

Love Sucks is now available on Amazon and from the publisher
